We specialize in providing customized public safety policy services and cutting-edge policy management software tailored for government organizations. We are seeking an experienced Data Lake Engineer with a strong background in AWS services, particularly in building, maintaining, and managing data lakes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Amazon Data Stream, Firehose, Glue Catalog, RedShift, Athena, and Terraform.
What you will be doing:
-Develop, maintain, and manage data lake environments using AWS tools.
-Implement data feeds from raw data to staging, production, and delivery to data warehouses or BI tools.
-Create and maintain playbooks and configuration guides.
-Train team members on data services best practices.
-Set up roles, permissions, and security management for the data lake.
-Act as a Database Administrator (DBA) for data lake operations.
What you need:
-Extensive experience with AWS Data Lake services.
-Experience with Amazon Data Stream, Firehose, Glue Catalog, RedShift, Athena, and Terraform using 1-5TB of data.
-Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure management.
-Strong knowledge of RedShift, Athena, and data transformation processes.
-Ability to link various data sources, including proprietary products and established vendor solutions.
-Experience in setting up data processing workflows, triggers, and data transformation.
-Strong security management skills for data environments.
-Ability to communicate what we are doing and the how to management and peers.
-Collaborate with Engineering and Dev Ops on build and maintenance.
-Receive requirements from team members, management, Solutions Management, and other internal stakeholders and see them to completion with internal customer satisfaction.
